We were happy with everything. This is a great place. Easy walk to the beach. There is a wonderful cafe across from the beach. All the shopping needs one could have are within a 4 minute drive. It is centrally located to anything one would want to do in the Destin area. The pool was wonderful.

Location is amazing, one block from the beach! Love that the pool is in the back, a lot of places have it right in the street but Thai was very private. Great space, tons of room for the 6 of us. Beds are super comfy! House is getting a little dated but was clean and worked for us. I think the management company is very big on safety and cleanliness which is great but this does mean there are no basics in the kitchen like oils or salt and pepper, just good to know as you prepare, it did not put a damper on our trip. Kitchen pots and pans could use some updating but we visited at the end of the season and understand guests tend to put those things through their paces. Would definitely stay again here or at any Newman property.

Property is about 5 minutes walk from beach. Sand is perfectly white. The house was clean and had everything we needed.

Great place to stay, Newman Daily is awesome to work with. There is plenty of room, great location being close to the beach and restaurants. The only real complaint I do have is there are too many plants9Brush) around the pool area, which blows into the pool. We have already reserved the house for next winter.

This place was CLEAN. The kitchen was better stocked than any prior rental in my 63 years. I would mention that the pool has a leak and never got warm, so dont count on a warm pool. Good location w a good place behind it to walk dogs. In fact the whole neighborhood is good for walking. We enjoyed our stay.

What a perfect house to accommodate our friend group! We had a wonderful week celebrating the high school graduation of our daughters. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The pool was perfect also!

The house is comfortable in a nice quiet neighborhood, 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. And the pool is so beautiful we used it everyday.

Roomy 3 bedroom 3 bath home with a nice backyard pool. There were 4 adults and a dog in our group. We chose the upstairs room, they chose downstairs, so we had plenty of privacy. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony off the master bedroom. Close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. We even found a putt putt golf place nearby. Had a great Workcation and can't wait to do it again. Note* Dogs not allowed in pool area, but there is a side yard, not enclosed where we walked our dog, and she enjoyed laying on the

The house was perfect for our family- very clean and the kitchen was a great one to cook in ! We loved how close it was to the beach and really enjoyed the pool too. Absolutely loved the feel of the quaint neighborhood it was in- very cozy and extremely quiet.

We were very happy with our stay at Waterfall Cottage. The house was just the right size, clean, well maintained and a short walk to the beach. Booking with Newman-Dailey is the best way to go! From the time I booked our stay all the way to when we picked our keys up to the cottage, Newman-Daily staff were so kind and helpful! I will definitely stay at one of their properties again including Waterfall Cottage!

Somethings needed to be fixed in the house. When we addressed this to the office we were met with a very friendly lady that did an excellent job by taking the time to write down our concerns of the house and made sure that they were taken care of during our stay.

Checking in was great and everyone was friendly and helpful. The house was nice. Living room needs more sitting spaces. There were no extra linens for the fold out couch in the LR. 2 roaches were in the LV. The pool was great and we had a great time. Thank you.

I stayed with my family for the Thanksgiving weekend and this place was just perfect. It has everything you need. nice pool, outside gas grill, three full bathrooms, nice kitchen and a clean refrigerator. I would recommend to anyone looking to visit Destin Florida.

Our stay was fantastic! We loved the cottage it was a perfect layout for the grandmas, moms and college kids. We celebrated birthdays and graduations. We enjoyed the pool and barbecues. We walked to the beach day and night being so close. We loved Destin and would return again.

The Waterfall is great house, great location. We had a awesome time in Destin. The house is a little smaller then thought. It states it sleeps ten however if you don't mind sharing pullouts. Everything you can think of the house had. The house its self could use a little TLC. I understand being pet friendly might be the difference but there were items that needed repaired. I had to fix the master bath toilet after every flush ( just the chain inside). Over all very clean. The pool was awesome. Looking to come back.

We had a little bit of a hiccup in the beginning but it was resolved, we were treated very well and the outcome was a very pleasant surprise. We loved our stay and had a wonderful time. Would stay again and would recommend to anyone. Thanks, The Hugs and The Punzels.

Very uncomfortable pool which is one reason I choose that cottage. It was too cold and $50.00 per day to heat it is ridiculous on top of the weekly fee. I would rate the stay as just okay and the not select that particular house again.

We had a wonderful family vacation in Destin, staying at your Waterfall Cottage. My husband and I rented the house for our family, including my sister, brother-in-law, children, their spouses and our grandson and his girlfriend. There was plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable for the entire week!! The house itself was very nice, the pool right in "our" backyard was fantastic!!! My sister and I spent many hours in that pool, chatting and catching up....she lives in Wisconsin, and we live in Texas. An added bonus was the fact that my daughter was able to bring her two small dogs along on this family vacation. That was a MUST for me when looking for a rental vacation home for the family. All in all, we had a great time in Destin, and most likely will return again in the future!

The home was lovely. The pictures on the Newman-Dailey website were true to the house. It was very well stocked with kitchen utensils and small appliances. The entire house was clean and having the pool was lovely. We had plenty of towels for the week. The surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful. We had another couple with us and we all had ample room and our own spaces. The walk to the beach was easy. As far as any changes, the bathrooms could be updated and the carpet could be changed out and new mattresses would have been nice. Otherwise, the house and location was absolutely fabulous.

The neighborhood where the Waterfall is located is wonderful....very quiet! The house is nice and could be great!! The house location to beach was a bit farther than anticipated. Restaurant and shopping locations were great! Pool smaller than what we thought.....but it honestly was more than enough and was great at the end of the day! The Master bedroom was very comfortable! The Queen bed and Twin beds need to be updated! Twin beds not for adults! I would remove the twin beds and update it with a trundle that makes into two twins or a king! Ice maker in fridge was noisy! Tight driveway to get into with a large vehicle. The house needs some general TLC. We enjoyed our time in Destin and we also spent time in Fort Walton at the fishing pier and beach....just beautiful!

We had such an amazing time at the Waterfall Cottage! We had a group of 8 women for a bachelorette weekend and could not have been happier with our accommodations. The house had enough beds for all and everything we needed to cook ourselves breakfast and dinner. We highly enjoyed the pool and the outdoor shower. My only complaint would be the amount of provided trash bags. I wish we would have known we needed to bring more because they only provided 2 trash bags for the entire weekend. The hike to the beach was also a bit farther than I had expected. We didn't mind because all we had to carry were towels, but it would have been difficult for a family with a lot to carry. Overall, it was a great house! Everyone was comfortable and there was enough room for 8 women to lounge around and get ready for our evenings out! It was also very close for taxi's and Uber's and did not cost much for rides to restaurants and night life.

Everything with the house was wonderful. Our only comment was the internet service was very poor. Took a day to get someone and then had to be hooked up with neighbor which was very slow. Weather, location, and neighborhood was great. Everything was clean and easy to use.

Spent a week in the Waterfall Cottage late july. Very nice and clean, check in went very smooth- property is approx. 3 to 4 blocks from the beach-so after we got into the routine of where to park, all went well. pool was nice to have after a long day at the beach- and we were close to several eating establishments- only complaint would be that they need to update the kitchen utensils- was short a lot of everyday things, and really had maybe 1 place setting. other than that-beautiful trip.

Overall, the home was very comfortable and was in a good location. Not far from the beach or Destin Commons area. Lots of places to eat nearby if you choose not to utilize the kitchen for some reason. The bed in the Master Bedroom was very comfortable. The home itself was nice and inviting. The pool could use a little TLC as there were portions of the bottom that were rough and appeared that it could stand to be re-surfaced. Other than that, everything else was very good. We will certainly be back at some point. Maybe not over July 4th week as there is a ton of traffic. Getting to and around Destin was very hectic. The amenities that came with the home during our stay were nice. The golf would have been worth it if not for all the rain while we were there. It would be nice if they could work out a deal with someone for a golf cart rental and/or chair/umbrella rentals. For us, the chair/umbrella and golf cart would have been preferred over one ticket/day for a dolphin cruise or parasailing or something like that.

We had a wonderful and relaxing time. The house was extremely comfortable. We cooked and BBQ almost everyday and the kitchen had everything we needed. My son loved the pool ... And sitting out in the porch. The beach is a few blocks away.. Although we didn't get to go much since it was closed due to the hurricane ...But we still managed to have a wonderful time... My favorite part of the house was the porch in the master bedroom.. Just sitting outside reading a book.. It was perfect.. The only negative was that the House was not completely clean when we got there... You could tell that the person that cleaned the house rushed thorough the job..some of the dishes where put back without being washed... But overall it was pretty clean...

House is really going down-hill... needs general maintenance. Have stayed at this house for four years now and each year it gets worse. Still a nice home just needs some tender loving care.

Had a wonderful time at Waterfall Cottage. Brought the entire family. Grandchildren loved the pool. The only compliant was the floors were not very clean when we arrived and the internet never worked which was a problem for my husband who has to have it for his working vacation. We called but never had anyone that would help him. Very short walk to the beach but we had 4 children with lots of beach things (tent, toys, etc.) so parking when we took the van was a major problem. Great time would rent again

This house was in an ideal location close to the beach and to shopping. The neighborhood was quiet and allowed for relaxing evenings on the balcony. The home was clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed having a private pool to come back to after the beach.

We go to destin yearly for Spring break and 2012 was no exception. The house was nice for the price and the location was also good. You're not "on" the beach but if you're not taking too much stuff you can walk it. Parking at the beach can be a challenge. The home and pool are begining to show their age. The pool is fairly small and the bottom is ruff on the kids feet...not that big of a deal but if you're going to be spending a lot of time in the pool it's worth noting. It is heated and that is always a requirement when we head down for Spring break. The Newman Dailey Resort Folks are great and I will definetly use them next year. Pros: Location Price Heated Pool Clean Well Stocked Newman Dailey Cons: Dated Pool surface needs work Beach Parking

This was a very nice place to stay. It had everything that we needed. The pool was a nice addition, although the privacy was lacking due to neighbors all around. It was our first time to Destin, and we look forward to returning. This place was good to walk to the beach in the morning, but our family requires a lot of stuff, that it was easier to park at the beach. The beach at the end of the street was very nice and not very crowded. Newman-Dailey did a great job servicing the property.

Awesome pool with waterfall and close to everything!! We stayed here for a week last party of June first week July 2011. We LOVE this house. It is very clean, roomy, love the pool with waterfall, it also has a lime tree in front. It's a charming house. We would love to stay here again next year.

My husband and I travel quite a bit together and alone as he is a Colonel in the army. When we travel we usually take our dogs with us. It is hard to find nice places to stay although through our travels we have found people who understand when you are middle aged and your children are out of the house your pets soon become your kids. We loved Denstin and are now considering it as a place for retirement. The home was a great location we walked everyday to the beach and we walked to the shopping centers as well. The home was well kept and the pool was a bonus however we did not get a chance to really use it. The kitchen had everything one could possibly need. We are hoping to return this summer with our daughter. A wonderful city, one of the best beach towns (I have been to many even in Italy and France) this is by far the best. Almost up there with Tulum Mexico. Just a great place, and a great home.

My husband and I stayed at Waterfall Cottage in Crystal Beach with 4 teens (3 of our own and a friend). The house was ideally located for us with beach and shopping within walking distance for the kids. The pool was also a big hit. We enjoyed snorkeling, parasailing and a visit to the Gulfarium. We would definitely stay at Waterfall Cottage again!

We loved staying at the Waterfall Cottage! The private pool was awesome and the beaches very close. The house was very comfortable and right in the middle of everything to do in Destin. we look forward to returning soon for a little more relaxation!

There was adequate space for 10 ppl to sleep but there wasn't enough parking space. The pool or pool area wasn't as large as it appeared in the photos. The houses in the neighborhood are really close, but it was quiet and convenient to restaurants and shopping. You are able to walk to the beach ONLY if you don't have to carry a lot of beach stuff (chairs, umbrella, bags, etc). Probably 5 out of the 10 ppl slipped down the stairs at one point during the stay. Overall it was a pleasant place to stay, I just think some particulars needed to be addressed to those who were looking to stay at the Waterfall Cottage.

The Motlow summer vacation 2009 was a success!We all enjoyed our stay at the Boathouse it felt alot like home. We always use Newman Dailey beach house rentals we choose the homes that have their own privite pool. We alway rent the Waterfall cottage but this time due to some water damage they offered us the Boathouse for the same price and we loved it and will stay at each location again!

Nice clean home with plenty of space for my wife and our 4 children. Missed having a shower in the master bath but knew that going in. We would stay here again but i do want to tell you of a few issues that we had. Upon arriving in Destin we went to the office to check in and were told the inspector was at the house making sure it was ready. We were told it would be 1/2 an hour and they would call us with the key code. After over 1 hour passed I decided to call the office were the person gave me the code. No apology for not calling or anything. When we arrived at the house we proceeded to unpack and found a few things that should have been addressed. The mattres in the upstairs sleeper sofa was upside down. The lamp in the kids bedroom had a broken ligh bulb exposed and still in the socet! The fan upstairs wobbles terribly and my son was concrned it may fall on him. The shower door in one of the bathrooms would not open on 1 side. The ice maker, which we had asked to be turned on before we arrived, was not on.The cable t.v. cords were not fully attached to the t.v's. There was no light bulb in the dinning room light fixture. There was no remote for the t.v. in the master bedrrom. There were no batteries in the dvd remote control and the dvd was not even plugged into the t.v.. There were no attachments for the Xbox controls. Finally, the patio furniture is in dire need of being replaced! The bottoms of the legs on the metal chairs were all broken and had the potential to cause serious injury to a young child if they weren't VERY careful. I know it sounds like a lot of nit picking but when you pay this kind of money for a house for the week you knd of expect it to be ready. Especially when you have to wait an extra hour because the inspector is at the house making sure it's ready? As i said in the beginning we would stay here again I just feel the attention to detail was a little lacking.

Our stay in the Waterfall Cottage was a very nice one even though we were not actually on vacation. We had to evacuate from New Orleans due to Hurricane Gustave. There was plenty of room for me and my sisters and it was great that we were able to have our pets with us. Even though it wasn't a vacation we did make the best of it and it was a very pleasant place to be. The private pool was also very nice. We will hopefully return one day for an actual vacation.

Waterfall Cottage was a great fit for our family of 2 parents, 3 adult daughters and a son-in-law. The kitchen was well outfitted for cooking and serving full meals. We loved that the beach was only a couple of blocks and an easy walk away. We enjoyed the pool but the pool and deck area could have been better maintained due to excessive pine needles. Game room in the widow's watch was a great idea, but the games and equipment didn't all match up. Overall, recommend.
