Today they began the removal of nearby buildings to make way for the new park, which is the result of a public-private partnership between Destin, Okaloosa County, the tourist development council, chambers of commerce, and the nonprofit Trust for Public Land.

Crystal Shores Beach Access Becomes Gateway to Crystal Beach

The new park will become a “Gateway to Crystal Beach” and includes an additional 184 feet of beach along with a 67-foot-wide park. Located at 2964 Scenic Highway 98 at the south end of Hutchinson Street, the park will be just steps away from Beachside Inn and conveniently located for guests staying in vacation rentals in Crystal Beach.
