Frequently Asked Questions by Destin Vacation Rental Guests

Where can we park when staying in a Destin vacation rental? 

Parking is extremely limited along the beaches of South Walton and Destin, especially during the summer months. The number of parking spots varies per rental so we encourage all guests to confirm the number of parking spots prior to arrival. Most rentals allow parking for two vehicles, and Newman-Dailey guests receive parking passes at check in. These passes are property specific and must be displayed on your windshield or rearview mirror at all times while on property. When passes are clearly visible, it alleviates any risk of the guest receiving a parking violation or being towed. If a guest is renting through a separate rental management company, the rental company should provide you with the same parking passes. If you did not receive these passes at check in, please request them from your rental company.

Is there a place to park a trailer?

Boats, trailers, mobile homes, campers or other similar vehicles shall not be parked on the property where you are staying. If you plan to travel with any of these vehicles, please make alternative parking arrangements prior to arrival.

Is there a noise ordinance in Destin?

Quiet hours for Okaloosa and Walton Counties are 10:00 pm-7:00 am. Please be courteous of other guests and limit noisy activities, including loud music and large noisy group gatherings outside the vacation rental, during these hours.

Are there pool hours at Destin rentals? 

Pool hours vary by property, but typically range from 9:00 am-10:00 pm. These hours are in place for the safety and enjoyment of all guests.

Can we bring our pet on our Destin vacation? 

Yes, if you are staying at a pet-friendly Destin vacation rental. Pet policies vary. We encourage guests to be familiar with pet policies specific to their vacation rental and rental management company prior to check-in.  

While Newman-Dailey features dozens of  pet-friendly Destin vacation rentals, some vacation rentals prohibit pets. Newman-Dailey also follows all state and federal laws pertaining to service animals and asks that guests who need to bring a service animal provide notice as well as documentation and shot records prior to arrival. Also as a friendly reminder, the Health Department prohibits all pets and service animals from the pool area. Any owner whose pet is spotted in the pool area of a condominium or vacation rental will be issued a warning and/or receive a fine.
