New Year's Eve Celebrations in the Destin Area

It’s time to welcome a New Year. Will you be welcoming 2017 in the Destin area?  If so, New Year’s Eve events in Destin and South Walton are abundant and ringing in 2017 along Florida’s Emerald Coast is alaway a fun way to start a New Year.  Here’s a roundup of the hottest spots to say farewell to 2016 and ring in 2017 in and around Destin, Florida.

Noon New Year’s Eve (Destin)- Lulu’s Destin is hosting their second annual Noon Year’s Eve celebration just for kids starting at 10 a.m. on December 31. Kids can enjoy a sandcastle-building contest, arts and crafts, inflatable play sets, face painting, live music by country singer Caroline Kole and more on the sandy beach of the Choctawhatchee Bay. The party includes a countdown to Noon with kid-safe sparklers and a huge beach ball drop.

New Year’s Eve Street Party at HarborWalk Village (Destin) - Enjoy live music in restaurants throughout HarborWalk Village as well as the HarborWalk Village Main Stage.  Families will enjoy the early fireworks show at 8 pm and adults will enjoy sticking around for the 9thAnnual Ball Drop over the Destin Harbor and more fireworks at midnight.

Baytowne Countdown (Sandestin)- If you’re staying in Miramar Beach, consider catching the Village of Baytowne Wharf end of the year celebration.  Dance the night away and enjoy breathtaking fireworks at midnight.  Restaurants throughout the Village will feature drink specials and live music and guests may also enjoy live entertainment at the Events Plaza until 1 am.  All ages welcome until 10pm and 21 and over welcome after 10 pm (age 20 and under must be accompanied by a legal guardian after 10 pm.)  

Louis Louis New Year’s Eve Gala and Costume Party - This year’s theme: Moulin Rouge! Come dressed with Parisian flare. Regular menu will be served from 5 to 9 p.m. and then special Prix Fix seatings will be at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. DJ will keep the music going until after midnight! Call 850-267-1500 for reservations.

Vue on 30A New Year's Eve Dinner & Dancing

Vue on 30A will host a special evening featuring a four course or five course dinner, live music and dancing. View flyer online with details or call 850-267-2305 or email [email protected] for reservations.   

Trebeache (Blue Mountain Beach)- NEW! Trebeache’s inaugural New Year’s Eve Bash includes special dinner options, live music by the Funk Disciples and a DJ spinning tunes all night long. Come for dinner or just the party. Dinner only: a four-course dinner in the restaurant ($75/pp); Dinner & Party: a four-course dinner in the restaurant, entry to the party in the grand ballroom, bottomless champagne and a dessert bar ($99); or Party only: entry into the grand ballroom with bottomless champagne and dessert bar ($30). Red Bar New Year’s Eve Dinner & Party (Grayton Beach)- The Red Bar will host their annual New Year’s Eve dinner party featuring the Red Bar Jazz Band, party favors and champagne toast, balloon drop and plenty of confetti at midnight. Seatings are 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Call 850-231-1008 for reservations.

Countdown Seaside (Seaside) - For those staying along Scenic Hwy 30A, Countdown Seaside is a great place to say goodbye to 2016 and welcome a New Year.  The family friendly event features live music from 7:30 pm to 12:30 am.  Held in the Seaside amphitheater, entertainment includes live music, kids activities, street performers and fireworks at midnight.
