Dog-friendly Destin Park Gets Lights

Our guests who take advantage of our pet-friendly rentals in Destin will be be delighted to learn that the Destin Dog Park is now lighted for early morning and late evening use. The lights are the result of a collaborative effort between The Friends of the Destin Dog Park, the City of Destin, local business owners and individual contributors. Nearly 100 dogs attended the lighting ceremony with their humans on March 30.

Located at 4100 Indian Bayou Trail at the intersection of Commons Drive West (just east of Airport Road), the Destin Dog Park opened in January 2012 and is located on approximately three acres, with separate fenced areas for small and large dogs. The park will now be lighted each evening from dusk until 10 pm and at 6 am each morning.
