18th Annual Destin Cobia Tournament in Destin Begins This Weekend

Destin has been coined the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village” and for good reason. The Destin area offers both in-shore and deep sea fishing. As locals, we all have our favorite fishing seasons and cobia season is always a favorite. These fish swim in near shore areas and are caught by trolling. 

We’re not sure if cobia is more fun to catch or eat so we encourage our guests to try both. The 18th Annual Cobia Tournament kicks off this weekend. The tournament takes place at HarborWalk Marina on the Destin Harbor. Watch from the docks or charter a fishing boat to participate in the action. The tournament ends April 30, 2015. Make plans to check out Super Saturdays! Each Saturday, the heaviest fish will win cash prizes. Also on Saturdays, HarborWalk Village will be hoppin’ with events and live music.
