South Walton Art Festival Digital Graffiti, June 5-7

 As you may have discovered, here in South Walton and Destin, Florida, we’re on beach time. This means everything moves at a slower, more leisurely pace.  And beach time is ideal for a digital art projection festival. Celebrating its 7th year, Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach, June 5-7, will present some of the most creative and innovative light displays projected on the white walls of Alys Beach along Scenic Highway 30A. Guests arrive after dark and leisurely stroll through the town to uncover dynamic light exhibits and videos at every turn.  
 
The festival will feature 27 dynamic digital art works created by artists from all around the world. Some are artistic, some are thought provoking, and some are interactive, yet all weave together creativity and technology to bring forth the artist’s vision. 
 
The weekend also features animated performance arts, live interactive digital art, a haute magazine fashion photo shoot session, VJ and DJ party, along with several other surprises.  
 
The 2014 Digital Graffiti Festival will also feature Atlanta lantern parade artist Chantelle Rytter, who will debut “Magical Anxiety,” a 20-foot illuminated albino alligator which performs over Lake Marilynn, conjuring up chaos. Back by popular demand, Shantell Martin, will layer digital arts in real time while festival attendees star in her live art show. We could go on, but this is simply one festival you just have to see for yourself!  
 
Schedule:  
Friday, June 6 – Family night (8:30 p.m. to midnight) $50/person and $15/child (12 and under)
Saturday, June 7 – Emerald Coast Magazine presents EC Scene Lounge (6:30 - 8:30 p.m.)
