Bike Paths in Florida - A Scenic Ride

The amazing weather has us yearning to be outdoors! One of our favorite pastimes is biking down the Scenic 98 bike path in Destin, FL and Timpoochee Trail in South Walton.

Biking along Scenic 98 is a great way to experience a sunny Northwest Florida day. With expansive views of the white sand beaches and shimmering emerald waters of the gulf, bikers have to do their best to keep their eyes on the road. A stop at Bad Ass Coffee will give you a quick "pick you up" as you cycle to your destination.

Along the Timpoochee Trail, the paved path hugs Highway 30A, bikers are afforded breathtaking views of rare coastal dune lakes and nature as it winds through the area's state parks and beach neighborhoods, including Santa Rosa Beach, Blue Mountain, Grayton Beach, Seaside and Seagrove Beach. We like catching glimpses of the gulf as well as Blue Heron who frequently find lunch in the lakes. 

As an added bonus, make a stop in the quaint, coastal town of Seaside, which was recently featured in USA Today. Dozens of locally-owned shops and restaurants will keep you entertained and satisfied. Our favorite, Heavenly, serves 32 flavors of gelato, hard-scoop ice cream and signature desserts. Just say "Yum!"
